at the Site from the Geologic Hazard and Geotechnical Engineering Report dated June
29, 2006 report by Wallace Kuhl &Associates titled found groundwater at 37 feet bgs.
Groundwater is not expected to be used at the Site.
5.0 RECORDS REVIEW
In preparing this report Aperio Inc. has engaged the services of Environmental Data
Resources, Inc. (EDR) of Southport, Connecticut. EDR provided Aperio Inc. with a list
and profile of the recorded sites within the study area that have been identified by the
regulatory agencies.
The EDR report includes information from several additional data sources beyond those
discussed below, which exceed the scope of work of this report. Details of these sources
are included in the EDR report in the appendices. Although these additional sources are
not discussed in detail below, these additional sources were reviewed, and any findings of
significance are reported in the database search results section of this report.
Included in the EDR governmental database search report is a list of "orphan sites."
These sites were not depicted on the EDR radius map of identified sites. Aperio Inc.
reviewed the "orphan sites" list for properties that may be located within the search radius
specified for each governmental database; all such sites have been included in the body of
this report.
5.1 Review of Federal Regulatory Agency Databases
The following federal agency databases have been reviewed:
• National Priorities List (NPL)
• Proposed NPL
• Delisted NPL
• Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, Liability and
Information System (CERCIS)
• CERCLIS No Further Remedial Action Planned (NFRAP)
• Corrective Action Report (CORRACTS)
• Resource Conservation and Recovery Act(RCRA) Information
• US Sites with Engineering Controls Sites List(US ENG CONTROLS)
• US Sites with Institutional Controls (US INST CONTROLS)
• Department of Defense Sites (DOD)
• Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS)
• Brownfield Sites (US BROWNFIELDS)
• Superfund (CERCLA) Consent Decrees (CONSENT)
• Records of Decision (ROD)
• Uranium Mill Tailings Sites (UMTRA)
• Open Dump Inventory (ODI)
• Mines Master Index File (MINES)
Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
Proposed Podesta Ranch Elementary School
December 5,2006
