How will all the containers and their contents be identified to
determine if they contain marketable, recyclable, or disposable
materials?
2.) How will identified containers be categorized, packaged, labeled, and
transported?
3.) How will empty containers be handled?
4.) How will containers be sampled? What safety precautions will be taken
during this sampling activity? Who will be doing the actual sampling?
5.) What procedures will be used to determine the extent of the soil
contamination if any spilled at the site?
Gordon Research engages in the manufacture (blending or mixing) of hazardous
substances. If the source materials are hazardous wastes, then this recycling
activity will require a permit from the Department. Gordon Research needs to
maintain records toshow the source of these materials in order to clarify the
issue. To date, no records have been received showing the source of the materials
at the Manteca facility.
Submit the necessary information to this office and if you have any questions, they
may be directed to Sam Zarek or myself.
Sincere ,
ecLos..o
Brad Parsons, Unit Chief
Surveillance and Enforcement
SZ:jka
cc: Mr. Stephen Taylor, Deputy District Attorney, Stockton
Mr. Gary Reentz, CVRWQCB, Sacramento
C.
