Approximately 3 inches of soil was rapidly <br /> scraped away from the surface of the soil in the backhoe bucket A sample was collected <br /> ' by driving a brass liner into the soil with a rubber mallet Both ends of the liner were <br /> covered with Teflon sheets and sealed with end caps The samples were labelled, recorded <br /> ' on a sham-of-custody, and placed in an ice chest cooled to 4°C for transport to an <br /> analytical laboratory. <br /> SOIL SAMPLE ANALYSIS <br /> Soil samples were analyzed in accordance with the analytical protocol presented on <br /> ' Table 2.
