MacArthur
Tracy, CA 95376
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division (PHS/EHD) has reviewed the "Quarterly Ground Water
Sampling" report dated May 17, 1995, prepared by REMCOR, Inc . for
the above referenced site. The groundwater sample results confirm
the levels of contamination evidenced in the first round of
groundwater sampling.
In a letter dated April 4 , 1995, PHS/EHD requested information on
the performance of a slug test that was performed on monitoring
well MW6, this information has not been submitted to date . PHS/EHD
also requested that the location of all private, municipal and
irrigation wells within 2000 feet of the site be -included in the
next report and this was not done . The above information should be
included in the next quarterly report .
Providing sample taps on the water supply wells was not discussed
in the report, as was recommended by PHS/EHD in the April 4 , 1995
letter.
The report had no recommendations for further investigation or
remediation at the site . Additional investigation must be proposed
to define the lateral and vertical extent of the soil and
groundwater contamination so that cost-effective remedial
alternatives can be evaluated. Please submit a work plan to
PHS/EHD for further investigation by August 15, 1995
If you have any questions call Margaret Lagorio at (209) 468-3449 .
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
D
Margaret La orio, Lead Senior REHS Diane M.
