(AGS) for the above referenced site and the attached
analytical results of the soil samples collected from the stockpile of soil
originating from the drilling of the soil borings and monitoring wells at the site.
PHS/EHD approves of spreading this soil on site.
PHS/EHD has also reviewed the "Work Plan For Remedial Soil Excavation and
On-Site Aeration" dated January 13, 1997 prepared by AGS for this site.
PHS/EHD has clarified with AGS that the four monitoring wells proposed for
destruction will be destroyed after the March 1998 quarterly sampling event not
March 1997 as described in the report.
Remediation of the excavated soil by aeration must be approved by the San
Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District at that time. The amount of
confirmation sampling of the excavated/remediated soil will be determined during
the remediation process.
If you have any questions contact me at (209) 468-3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Margaret Lagorio, REHS, Supervisor
Site Mitigation Unit
c: CVRWQCB - Beth Thayer
c: American Geological Services, Inc.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
