The outline followed for this request is
based on Table 1 of Appendix B, Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for
Preliminary Investigations and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites, No Further
Action Requests, draft revision dated October, 1996.
I ' Background, geology, and hydrology information have been presented in previous
sections of this report.
9.0 EXCAVATED SOIL TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL
Approximately 1,522 cubic yards of gasoline contaminated soil were excavated from the
former UST area and aerated on-site. The results of this remedial action were presented
in a report by AGS dated September 2, 1998. Following on-site aeration, and approval
' by the San Joaquin Public Health Services, Environment Health Division, the soil was
left on-site for reuse as surficial fill material.
10.0 MONITORING WELL FATE
Upon approval by Regional Water Quality Control Board staff, the five installed ground
water monitoring wells will be.abandoned in accordance with California State and San
' Joaquin County water well standards.
' 11.0 GROUND WATER ANALYTICAL AND ELEVATION DATA
' Ground water depth measurements and gradient calculations are presented in each of the
ground water monitoring reports. Historical analytical data tables for all monitoring
wells are presented in Appendix C of this report.
' 12.0 MASS CALCULATION FOR SOIL AND GROUND WATER
CONTAMINANTS
Based on the results of laboratory analyses of soil samples collected during the initial
investigation and the remedial soil excavation, and current ground water analytical data, a
' calculation of the mass of residual contaminants has been made.
