INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mel Bokides Petroleum (MBP) .4chyat ced GeoFtivironmental. Inc. (AGF:) has <br /> prepared the enclosed Remedial Action Work Plan (RAWP) detailing design of an in-situ air <br /> sparging/soil vapor extraction (IAS/SVE) remediation System for petroleum hydrocarbon-in-ipacted <br /> soil and ground water and installation ofan additional ground water monitoring well otf'site at 501 <br /> W. Lodi AyenLle, Lodi. California (site). <br /> The location ofthe site is illustrated on Figure 1. The layout of existing structures and the locations <br /> of monitoring wells are illustrated in Figure ?. <br /> The RAWP is prepared in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Hcalth Services - <br /> Environmental Ilealth Division (PIIS-EHD) and Central Vallev Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for corrective action at leaking underoround storage tank sites. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site was lormerly operated as an Arco service station which stored and distributed gasoline fuel <br /> for retail sale. <br /> 2.1. SITE LOCATION/SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located at the northwest corner of' the Lodi Avenue and Ilutchins Street in Lodi. <br /> California. The site was operated as a gasoline dispensing station until February 1998. wlien the U'S F <br /> system was removed. ']'he facility operated intermittently as a service station from the 1950s until <br /> February 1998. MBP ptu•cllased the site in 1985 to operate as a fuel service station. from 1949 to <br /> 1966 the site was operated as the Tide Water Associated Oil Company and in 1966 the site came <br /> under operation by the Philips PCtrolenm Company. The occupants have not been identified for the <br /> period of between 1.966 and 1985. Atter 1985 the site was operated as a fuel service station by MBP. <br /> 2.?.
