15 July 1998 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 98-0450 <br /> Page 5 of 5 <br /> 13. Store cuttings on plastic pending laboratory analysis and disposal/treatment. <br /> 14. Containerize rinseate generated during drilling activities in properly labeled D.O.T,- <br /> approved, model 1711 55-gallon drums, and store on-site in an area lacking access for the <br /> general public. <br /> 15. Develop new monitoring wells utilizing a submersible pump until produced water is <br /> essentially sediment free. <br /> 16. Survey the top of each well casing to the nearest 11100th of a foot to determine the elevation <br /> relative to a single well. <br /> 17. Backfill un-constructed borings using a neat cement through a tremie pipe or equivalent, <br /> through the entire depth of the boring in accordance with the well standards (section <br /> 13.17.8). <br /> 18. Selected soil samples and each ground water samples will be analyzed for total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline and diesel (TPH-g and TPH-d), volatile aromatics <br /> (benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and total xylenes: BTE&X) and methyl-tert-butyl ether <br /> (MTBE)and other oxygenated fuel additives tertiary butyl alcohol(TBA), di-isopropyl ether <br /> (DIPS), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE) and tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME) in <br /> accordance with EPA methods 8015rrn/5030 and 8020/602 and 8260/8260m. If field <br /> observations indicate that other petroleum hydrocarbons are present, additional analysis may <br /> be necessary. <br /> 19. Transport and release selected soil samples to a state-certified laboratory for analysis for <br /> intrinsic permeability, moisture content,porosity and total organic carbon in accordance with <br /> the appropriate EPA/ASTM methods and physicochemicaVbio-enumeration. <br /> 20. The new monitoring well will be sample with the other wells on the site quarterly. <br /> 4.2. REPORTING <br /> A report detailing the results of the investigation will be prepared. The report will be in a format <br /> acceptable to the PHS-EHD and CVRWQCB.
