15 July 1998
AGE-NC Project No. 98-0450
13. Store cuttings on plastic pending laboratory analysis and disposal/treatment.
14. Containerize rinseate generated during drilling activities in properly labeled D.O.T,-
approved, model 1711 55-gallon drums, and store on-site in an area lacking access for the
general public.
15. Develop new monitoring wells utilizing a submersible pump until produced water is
essentially sediment free.
16. Survey the top of each well casing to the nearest 11100th of a foot to determine the elevation
relative to a single well.
17. Backfill un-constructed borings using a neat cement through a tremie pipe or equivalent,
through the entire depth of the boring in accordance with the well standards (section
13.17.8).
18. Selected soil samples and each ground water samples will be analyzed for total petroleum
hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline and diesel (TPH-g and TPH-d), volatile aromatics
(benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and total xylenes: BTE&X) and methyl-tert-butyl ether
(MTBE)and other oxygenated fuel additives tertiary butyl alcohol(TBA), di-isopropyl ether
(DIPS), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE) and tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME) in
accordance with EPA methods 8015rrn/5030 and 8020/602 and 8260/8260m. If field
observations indicate that other petroleum hydrocarbons are present, additional analysis may
be necessary.
19. Transport and release selected soil samples to a state-certified laboratory for analysis for
intrinsic permeability, moisture content, porosity and total organic carbon in accordance with
the appropriate EPA/ASTM methods and physicochemicaVbio-enumeration.
20. The new monitoring well will be sample with the other wells on the site quarterly.
4.2. REPORTING
A report detailing the results of the investigation will be prepared. The report will be in a format
acceptable to the PHS-EHD and CVRWQCB. The report will be reviewed and signed by a
California Registered Geologist.
.46,anced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
