RYAN INC . <br /> WORK PLAN FOR ADDITIONAL SUBSURFACE ASSESSMENT <br /> at <br /> Chevron Station #9-3232 <br /> 8660 Lower Sacramento Road <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Report No. 346463 .04- 1 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Chevron Products Company (Chevron), Gettler-Ryan Inc. (GR) has prepared this Work Platt <br /> for additional subsurface assessment at the subject site. The purpose of this investigation is to further <br /> evaluate the distribution of residual petroleum hydrocarbons in soil beneath the site. The proposed scope <br /> of work includes: obtaining the required boring permit; advancing four soil borings up to 60 feet below <br /> ground surface (bgs); collecting soil samples for chemical analysis; analyzing the soil samples; and preparing <br /> a report presenting the findings of the investigation. <br /> The scope of work described in this Work Plan is intended to comply with the State of California Water <br /> Resources Control Board's Leaking Underground Fuel Tanks (LUFT) Manual, the California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board 's (CRWQCB) Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary <br /> Investigation andLvaluation of Underground Tank Sites, and San Joaquin County Public Health Services- <br /> Environmental Health Division (SJCPHS-EHD) guidelines. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is a former Chevron service station currently being rebuilt located at the southeast corner of Lower <br /> Sacramento Road and Ponce De Leon Avenue in Stockton, California. Former facilities at the site consist <br /> of a station building with three service bays, awaste oil UST, two dispenser islands, and three 10,000-gallon <br /> gasoline USTs that share a common pit near the southern site boundary. Location of pertinent site features <br /> are shown on Figure 2. <br /> PREVIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVITIES <br /> According to the data .provided by Chevron, the service station was constructed in 1967 . Subsurface <br /> facilities consisted of one 5 ,000-gallon and two 10,000-gallon steel gasoline USTs, and one 500—gallon steel <br /> waste oil UST.
