A permit
fee for workplan review (check no. 371) and the Master File Record fee (check no. 370) are also
attached. The Master File Record form was completed by Sanwa Bank California and was being
sent separately by Sanwa Bank California and should be received by your office on July 12, 2000.
The scope of work includes obtaining permits, overdrilling four drywells, soil sampling,
backfilling the borings, and preparing a summary report. The scope of work is described in
detail in the following paragraphs.
SITE LOCATION
The site is located on the south side of Locke Road and west of Highway 12 in Lockeford,
California, as shown on Figure 1. The location is primarily a commercial and agricultural area.
The site is currently unoccupied.
The site was formerly occupied by a wood fiber products facility. There are several buildings on
site including one west of the drywells and two south of the drywells. The drywells are located
in a pond area used to collect surface water runoff from the site. Soil samples have been
collected from the bottom of each drywell and they contained low concentrations of toluene and
total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg).
wAwordpro\25500%wkp.doc I
