L & M OPERABLE UNIT-THIRD QUARTER 2013 SITE STATUS, REMEDIAL SUMMARY,
AND GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT
Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling
November 1, 2013
values for TPHd and TPHo in MW-72 are relatively consistent with historical values. The data
can be considered representative.
2.4.2.5 General Laboratory Notes
The laboratory validation notes are consistent with the B-Zone quality assurance and quality
control. Each set of issues corresponds directly with the denoted report. All laboratory reports
are included in Appendix E.
Laboratory Validation, report number 85467:
There was no observed validation issues with B-Zone monitoring wells.
2.5 THIRD QUARTER 2013 C-ZONE GROUNDWATER RESULTS
2.5.1 C-Zone Groundwater Gradient Data
C-Zone groundwater elevations at the Site ranged from 5.87 ft below MSL (MW-67) to 4.18
below MSL (MW-65; Table 3, Table 4, and Figure 17). Groundwater gradient during 3Q13 in
the C-Zone ranged from the southwest to the northwest with an approximate hydraulic gradient
of 0.004 to 0.003 ft/ft, respectively (Figure 17). Historic groundwater flow direction and gradient
data is summarized on Table 6. Vertical gradient data is summarized on Table 7.
2.5.2 C-Zone Groundwater Analytical Data
During 3Q13, groundwater samples were collected from eight C-Zone wells. Groundwater
analytical results are summarized below and included on Table 3 and Table 4. TPHg, TPHd,
TPHo, benzene, MTBE, and TBA isoconcentration contour maps are included as Figure 18
through Figure 23, respectively. The certified laboratory analytical reports including laboratory
validation sheets are included in Appendix E.
2.5.2.1 Separate Phase Hydrocarbons
During 3Q13, measurable SPH or SPH-sheen was not observed in the C-Zone wells.
5tantec 2.7
