Greene, an individual who from 1989 to 1999 owned the <br /> property known as 1426 Lincoln Street, Stockton, California. As you know from the <br /> September 26, 2006 and April 12, 2006 letters from the Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board to you, the State considers you to be liable for the completion of the investigation <br /> and cleanup from an old fuel tank at this property. Copies of the Regional Board's letters <br /> are enclosed for your reference, as Exhibits 1.and 2. <br /> We are therefore writing to inform you of our client's claim against you. It <br /> appears from the Board's letters that you, as the present owner, have the legal duty to <br /> investigate and clean up the contamination on the property.
