R5-2007-0725,
DOLLY MADISON/LANGENDORF BAKERY, 1426 S. LINCOLN STREET, STOCKTON,
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
1 reviewed the No Further Action Request (Report), received 24 November 2010, and the draft public
participation fact sheet, received on 20 December 2010; both documents were submitted by Mr. Kong's
consultant Stratus Environmental, Inc. The Report provides the technical basis for granting a low risk
closure for the USTs case. Maximum groundwater concentrations for October 2010 were total
petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline, 840 micrograms per Liter(ug/L); toluene, 4.8 ug/L; ethylbenzene,
7.9 ug/L; xylenes, 96 ug/L; 1,2-dichoroethane, 7.5 ug/L; methyl tert butyl ether (MTBE), 130 ug/L; and
tert butyl alcohol (TBA), 160 ug/L. Groundwater monitoring shows a stable plume with declining
concentrations for the USTs release emanating from this site. An MTBE plume is currently migrating in
the deeper aquifer beneath the site, but MTBE and TBA are not the result of the petroleum
hydrocarbons release at this site. The draft fact sheet is necessary prior to conducting public
participation prior to case closure.
Effective immediately, groundwater monitoring is suspended at this site. Continue submitting quarterly
status reports to me by email until directed otherwise. In order to conduct public participation and to
continue the closure process, by 7 January 2011 please provide the following documents:
• A site map showing all property parcels within 200' of the site;
• A list of the property owners and tenants with the parcel numbers and mailing addresses, and
After my review and acceptance of the above documents, you will be directed to begin the public
participation mailings, and to also mail one copy of the fact sheet to me for the case file.
.For questions, please contact me at (916) 464-4615, or I can be reached by email at
jb rton@waterboards.ca.gov.
` AMES L.
