i
Mike Infurna [EH]
From: Mike Infurna [EH]
Sent: Thursday,April 28, 20,11 2:39 PM
To: 'John Chang'
Subject: RE: North Stockton Grade Separation Project- Monitoring Well
John,
I was able to find this well's file. It appears only THIS well was installed in May
2008 by a request from the City of Stockton with your subcontractor, "Blackburn
Consulting" out of Modesto. It is still active, but not being monitored (required).
NO ONE (City or Blackburn) ever turned in a report of findings (required) to us, so
we never had the info other than the_installation plan and field notes showing the
well is 56.5 feet deep.
The well can be destroyed, but I'm cautious about taking out a City well for you
w/o knowing if the fellow at the City wants it out or,not.
as soon as I find out 'who' at the City is responsible for this well, I'll provide you
with the name and YOU can talk to them and work out destroying the well. I'm
trying to contact the consultant. I've been referred to Mr. David Morrell of their
West Sac office, 916-375-8706.
An EHD permit and $488 fee is required to take this well out. A Cal C-57 contractor
must do the work. You/the City decide if you need an environmental consultant
too.. we don't require one on a well destruction, but we do need a plan that
describes the method and materials you plan to use to destroy the well. I can help
your driller or consultant prepare the plan after you decide who at the City is
responsible for this well.
I'll be in touch.
Mike Infurna, SJCEHD
468-3454
From: John Chang [mailto:John.Chang@ci.stockton.ca.us]
Sent: Thursday, April 28, 2011 12:36 PM
To: Mike Infurna [EH]
Cc: Eric Alvarez; James Wong; agust@psomas.com
Subject: North Stockton Grade Separation Project - Monitoring.Well
Hi Mike
4/29/2011
