We present this work plan and
accompanying Letter of Intent to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department and
request a permit to perform the services described below. A well permit application is also
attached for processing.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The study area is identified as East Louise Avenue in Lathrop, California. The site is located on
the south side of East Louise Avenue, adjacent to 2050 East Louise Avenue. The project consists
of the re-grading of East Louise Avenue, between McKinley Avenue and the Railroad tracks, which
cross East Louise Avenue.
It is our understanding that there is an existing piezometer within the project site that is a remnant
from a previous environmental investigation in the area. According to officials from the City of
Ripon Public Works Department(City), that investigation is now inactive.
Details regarding installation information are currently not available; however, a site visit
conducted by ENGEO on June 16, 2009, indicated that the flush-mount piezometer consists of a
/z-inch PVC pipe, which extends 30 feet below ground surface (bgs). It appears that the original
boring was approximately 4 to 6 inches in diameter.
