Al <br /> • TPH as gasoline (TPHg) using EPA- Method 5030/GCFZD; <br /> • Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) and <br /> methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) using EPA Method <br /> 8020/8250; and <br /> • Lead using EPA Method 7420 . <br /> The samples were analyzed on a 72-hour to 5-day turnaround basis. <br /> G <br /> 5.0 SOIL CONDITIONS <br /> Brown silty sand was encountered within the UST excavation limits <br /> to the total depth of the excavation (at approximately 9 feet <br /> below the existing ground surface) . The soil sample collected <br /> from the UST pit and excavated soil were neither stained nor <br /> discolored. Additionally, hydrocarbon odor was not detected. <br /> Stained soil emitting a distinct hydrocarbon odor was encountered <br /> at the eastern portion of the UST, beneath the pipeline. <br /> Groundwater was not encountered in the UST excavation. <br /> 6. 0 LABORATORY ANALYTICAL RESULTS ! <br /> The laboratory analytical results are summarized in Table 1 and <br /> ' Figure 3 . Laboratory certificates are presented in Appendix B. <br /> The results are as follows : <br /> F .
