The laboratory analyses indicate that detectable
concentrations of the aromatic hydrocarbon compounds (BTEX) and gasoline range
petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-G) are present in MW-1 and MW-4. The domestic well and j
the remaining three of the sites five monitoring wells were below laboratory detection limits
' for all analyzed constituents. Fuel oxygenates, including MTBE, have not been detected at
the site since the first laboratory analysis in February of 1999.
' The purging and sampling of MW-3 could not be completed due to the well being clogged
with roots. The roots will be removed and the well sampled on the next monitoring event.
' Dissolved oxygen measurements were taken during the November monitoring event. The
measurements indicate that the core of the plume (MW-1) has 0.56 ppm and the margins
' (MW-2 and MW-4) have approximately 0.75 ppin. The deep well (MW- 101) has 3.90 ppm
of dissolved oxygen.
The average groundwater elevation decreased 3.42 feet since the August 2002 monitoring
event. Site-specific gradient calculations show groundwater flowing in a northeasterly
direction with a slope of 0.0043 ft/ft. Vertical gradient are positive and approximately one
' order of magnitude less than the horizontal gradient.
