The addendum was submitted following a teleconference on 17 October 2013 attended by <br /> Antea and the EHD in which Antea proposed submitting a modified scope of work to assess the <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon contamination that resulted from a former underground storage tank <br /> system at the site. <br /> In the addendum , Antea proposes: <br /> Advancement of two soil borings (SB-1 and SB-2) using direct push drilling technology at <br /> locations illustrated on Figure 2 of the addendum ; <br /> Advancement of SB- 1 to approximately 20 feet below surface grade (bsg) and SB-2 to <br /> approximately 10 feet bsg while collecting continuous soil samples beginning at five feet <br /> bsg for lithologic logging and screening for concentrations of volatile organic compounds <br /> at approximately one-foot intervals using a photo-ionization detector; <br /> Collection of soil samples for chemical analysis of gasoline range organics (GRO) ; <br /> benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) ; methyl tertiary-butyl ether <br /> (MTBE) , and lead at ten and twenty feet bsg from SB-1 , and five and ten feet bsg from <br /> SB-2; <br /> Collection of groundwater samples from the on-site domestic well from the faucet <br /> located nearest the well that has not undergone water filtration , following the purging of a <br /> minimum of one pressure tank volume of water; the groundwater samples will be <br /> analyzed for GRO, BTEX and MTBE ; and <br /> ® Notification of site contacts and the EHD approximately five days prior to commencing <br /> the fieldwork, <br /> The EHD approves the addendum with the conditions that soil and groundwater samples are <br /> analyzed for 1 ,2-dichloroethane (1 ,2-DCA) in addition to the analyses listed above; one <br /> additional soil sample is collected deeper than twenty feet bsg in the tank pit area if any <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon contamination is detected at twenty feet bsg ; and that the EHD is <br /> notified at least two weeks prior to commencing the fieldwork. <br />
