1.0 INTRODUCTION
4
Terranext was retained by Guaranty Federal Bank to perform a soil and ground water
investigation at the Stockton Savings Bank - Manteca Branch property (Property), located at
201 North Main Street, in Manteca, California. A site location map is provided as Figure 1.
The investigation was conducted on March 23, 1997, in accordance with Terranext's
workplan entitled: Soil and Ground Water Investigation Workplan, Stockton Savings Bank -
Manteca Branch, dated March 6, 1997 (Workplan). The Workplan was verbally approved
by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (the
County) on March 20, 1997). The purpose of the investigation was to evaluate whether
former activities at the subject property (namely a tire vulcanization facility, and a gasoline
and oil store) had resulted in impacts to soil and/or ground water. The following sections
provide a brief site history, a description of the methods and procedures used during field
activities, and the investigation results and conclusions.
L
809-00 1.rpt/04-18-97/u/keydata/repom 1
TermNext
