=i <br /> 4-� <br /> Concrete Fuel Vault <br /> A concrete fuel vault was located in the between adjacent to the boiler building. The <br /> fuel vault contained bunker oil. The top of the fuel vault was excavated and exposed. <br /> The remaining bunker oil was pumped out and properly transported off-site under <br /> manifest for disposal. The interior of the vault was then cleaned using High-pressure <br /> washers. The rinsate was also transported off-site under manifest far disposal. The <br /> interior of the vault was inspected by Sart Joaquin County Department of Environmental <br /> Health. Two holes were core drilled in the bottom of the concrete vault and soil samples <br /> were collected from the soils beneath. These samples were collected to confirm that <br /> _ contaminated soil was not present. The sample results were non-detect. The fuel vault <br /> was then filled with clean material and closed-in-place. <br /> The fuel vault has been cleaned and closed-in-place, remaining fuel and rinsate has <br /> been removed and disposed of, sample results indicate that contamination was not <br /> present. CKY does not reconnirte nd any Wither action at this site. <br /> 'i <br /> Stockpiled Railroad Ballast Material <br /> There are two stockpiles of railroad Ballast material located at the western side of the <br /> property. This material was salvaged during the removal of the railroad tracks that run <br /> adjacent to the roperty. Upon the request of San Joaquin County Department of <br /> Environmental k-iealth the stockpile were sample to determine it& salvaged material. <br /> posed any threat to public health. The stockpiles were sampled for the presence of <br /> contamination from hydrocarbons, pesticides, herbicides, and PCBs. The sol! samples <br /> indicated that the material posed no risks to public health.
