1.4 Soil Sampling <br /> f <br /> Upon removal of all suspected contaminated soils, soil sample(s) will be <br /> collected from the excavation as directed by the San Joaquin County <br /> representative. The soil samples will be collected by GeoMat Engineering, Inc. <br /> and will be analyzed by BC Laboratories, Inc. Copies of all chain of custody's <br /> and anal..!_-- ---LItS n ill by Sant to the San Joan'uih C�.'nty' representative. <br /> 2.0 Concrete Fuel !fault <br /> A concrete fuel vault is iocated between the warehouse and boiler buildings at <br /> the Lockeford Winery. The fuel vault formerly contained heating fuel oil. The <br /> area around the fuel vault has been excavates!to expose th-- top of the vault; the V <br /> concrete lid has been removed from vault; and the contents of the vault have <br /> been removed and transported off-site for disposal. The interior of the vault has <br /> been cleaned and the rinsate.has also been transported off-site for disposal. <br /> Two holes (one at each end of the vault) were core drilled in the floor of the <br /> vault. On August 31 , 1999 a soil sample was collected from each of the two <br /> holes. The samples \vem collected Under the direction of the S@n Joaquin <br /> County representative. A hand auger was used to remove soil two feet below <br /> the bottom of the concrete floor. The hand auger was then used to collect -a <br /> sample from the undisturbed soil beneath the vault. The samples were analyzed <br /> for TPH diesel by EPA Method 8015m, BTEX by EPA Method 8020 and MTBE <br /> by EPA Method 8260. Ail sample results were Non-detect ( D).
