Used oil generated during maintenance operations may be <br /> transferred from its point of generation to the maintenance person's <br /> place of business, other than a residence, for the purpose of <br /> consolidation in a tank or container, without meeting the <br /> requirements of Sections 25160, 25163, and 25201, if the material is <br /> to be recycled at an authorized offsite hazardous waste facility and <br /> if all the following co ditions are met: <br /> (a) The generator transports the used oil in a vehicle owned by <br /> the generator or owned Dy an employee of the generator. <br /> (b) Not more than 55 gallons are transferred in the vehicle at any <br /> one time. <br /> (c) The used oil is nanaged in accordance with all laws concerning <br /> storage and handling of hazardous wastes upon consolidation at the <br /> maintenance person's place of business. <br /> (d) The used oil is ieemed to be generated at the point of <br /> consolidation upon cons lidation. <br /> Here's the remote consolidation rule—three sections <br /> The shipping paper requirement is at the end. <br /> 25110.10. (a) "Consoli ation site" means a site to which hazardous <br /> waste initially collectad at a remote site, as defined in Section <br /> 25121.3, is transported <br /> (b) Hazardous waste Lnitially collected at a remote site and <br /> subsequently transportei to a consolidation site, which is operated <br /> by the generator of the hazardous waste, shall be deemed to be <br /> generated at the consol dation site for purposes of this chapter if <br /> the generator complies lith the notification requirements of <br /> subdivision (d) and allof the following conditions are met: <br /> (1) The hazardous wa to is non-RCRA hazardous waste, or the <br /> hazardous waste or its management at the consolidation site is <br /> otherwise exempt from, r is not otherwise regulated pursuant to, the <br /> federal act. <br /> (2) (A) The hazardou waste is not generated through large spill <br /> cleanup activities. <br /> (B) As used in this paragraph, "large spill cleanup" means a spill <br /> cleanup operation that generates more than a total of 275 gallons or <br /> 2,500 pounds, whichever is greater, of hazardous waste. <br /> 1 <br />
