1
Ground water at the site is currently in a recharge cycle.
Previous discharge and recharge cycles at the site have produced
sporadic traces of TFH or BTEX constituents in some of the
monitoring wells. The previous three quarterly monitoring
rounds have produced consistent analytical results and have have
detected no TFH or BTEX during this period, with the exception of
MW8, which is closest to the tank field. Currently, there are
low levels of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon constituents in MW4
and slight amounts in MW2 and MW6 . The water samples from MW8
have shown elevated values for these constituents.
CONCLUSIONS
1 . Eight monitor wells were sampled. MW1, MW3, MWS and MW7
showed no detectable levels of contamination.
2 . MW8 indicated elevated levels of Total Fuel Hydrocarbons as
gasoline of 61 ppm and Benzene of 3500 ppb.
3 . The ground water flow direction is presently in a south,
southwesterly direction with a ground water 'high' at MW8 .
The current elevation gradient between MW3 and MW7 averages
0 . 001 feet per linear foot .
4 . S1 and S2 were not sampled; these wells were dry.
LIMITATIONS
The discussion and conclusions presented in this report are based
on the following:
1 . The observations and data collected by field personnel .
2 . The results of laboratory analyses performed by a state
certified lab.
3 . Our understanding of the regulations of the State of
California and San Joaquin County and/or City of Lodi,
California.
4 . Review of existing literature concerning this site and the
San Joaquin County area .
Changes in ground water conditions can occur due to variations in
rainfall, temperature, local and regional water usage and local
construction practices . In addition, variations in the soil and
ground water conditions could exist beyond the points explored in
this investigation.
5
