r <br /> QUARTERLY MONITORING REPORT <br /> USA STATION#65- LODI <br /> APRIL,1996 <br /> On February 8, 1993, monitoring well MW-8 was completed to a depth of approximately 60-feet <br />' bgs by WEGE The well is downgradient from the suspected source and approximately 8-feet <br /> southeast of the tank field This well has consistently contained TPH and BTEX compounds <br /> On March 14, 1995, WEGE completed a one-day vapor extraction treatability test The test was <br /> performed on monitoring wells MW-4, S-1, S-2, and MW-8 Test results are summarized in the <br /> WEGE report Results of Pilot Test for Vapor Extraction, dated April 17, 1995 This work confirmed <br />' the feasibility of using vapor extraction for site remediation <br /> USA retained Park to prepare a Remedial Action Plan(RAP) The rationale and design of the <br /> necessary environmental remediation and sampling activities at the site were presented in Park's <br /> RAP dated November, 1995 and in a subsequent letter to the County, dated February 28, 1996 <br /> In continuation of the quarterly sampling and monitoring program, Park conducted groundwater <br />' monitoring activities at the site during the first quarter of 1996 This QMR presents the findings <br /> from that groundwater sampling event <br />' 3.0 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The following is a brief summary of the scope of work authorized by USA <br /> • Locate and measure depths to groundwater and free product thicknesses in <br /> groundwater monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-8, S-1 and S-2 (Figure 2), <br /> • Purge a minimum of three equivalent well volumes of groundwater from each of <br /> the sampled wells, monitor pH, temperature and conductivity, <br /> • Collect groundwater samples from the monitoring wells, <br /> • Analyze water samples for TPH G and BTEX, using EPA Methods 8015 Modified <br /> rand 8020, respectively, and <br /> • Prepare this QMR for submittal to USA and the County <br /> r <br /> 4.0 GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> rThe following section discusses field protocol used during data collection for this QMR <br /> r <br /> • <br /> r <br /> 3 <br /> r <br />
