TPHG was detected in 5 of the 10 sampled monitoring wells at concentrations ranging from
M 260 µg11 (MW-3) to 7,600 µg/l (S-1). Benzene was detected in 3 of the 10 sampled monitoring
wells at concentrations ranging from 22 µg/l (MW-8) to 440µg/1 (S-1). MTBE was detected by
' USEPA Method 8260 in 7 wells at concentrations ranging from 0.87 µg/l (MW-5) to 10,000 µg11
(S-1). TBA was detected in well S-1 at a concentration of 1,300 µg/l. No other oxygenates were
detected. Analytical data are summarized in Table 1 and illustrated on Figure 3. Certified
Analytical Reports and chain of custody documentation are presented in Appendix B.
' 5 CONCLUSIONS
' Groundwater samples from 7 of the 10 sampled monitoring wells (MW-3, MW-4, MW-5,
MW-7, MW-8, S-1, and S-2) contained detectable concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons.
' Highest detected concentrations were reported in well S-1. The lateral extent of MTBE impacts
are generally defined and off-site concentrations do not exceed 5 µg/l_ Groundwater flowed
toward the south-southeast and southwest during the fourth quarter 1999.
i
' The material and data in this report were prepared under the supervision and direction of the
undersigned.
' IT Corporation IT Corporation
Davidoley M k Capps,R.G. 6
' Project Manager Pr 'ect Geologist
1
sAC1111SACAFPI1COMMON\ConsultingldatalSharedTmjects1P171792055.bs.doc-001it:1 IT comoRnon
2
1
a*,y,
