hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG) by United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA)
method 8015 and for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX) and methyl tert-
butyl ether (MTBE) by USEPA method 8020. MTBE was confirmed using USEPA method
8260.
TPHG was detected in 3 of the 7 sampled monitoring wells at concentrations ranging from 56
gg/l (MW-3) to 32,000 µg/l (MW-4). Benzene was detected in 2 of the 7 sampled monitoring
wells at concentrations of 53 µg/l (MW-8) and 92 µg/l (MW-4). MTBE was detected by method
8260 in 2 wells at concentrations of 8 µg/l (MW-3) and 110 µg/l (MW-8). Analytical data are
summarized in the table and illustrated on Figure 3. Certified Analytical Reports and chain of
custody documentation are presented in Appendix B.
5 CONCLUSIONS
Groundwater samples from 3 of the 7 sampled monitoring wells (MW-3, MW-4, and MW-8)
contained detectable concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons. Groundwater flowed toward the
south-southeast during the fourth quarter 1998.
The material and data in this report were prepared under the supervision and direction of the
undersigned.
Pinnacle Environmental Solutions Pinnacle Environmental Solutions
GE
FL
Go Ko a Harold Duke,R.G. 6763 DUB JFL
Project Manager Project Geologist
IV0.8783
O
SACIH:IWINWORD1USA\USA65QR.DOC-98bduke:4 P4mae&
2 Rev.0, 1128199
