Murphy: <br /> Stratus Environmental, Inc. (Stratus), on behalf of USA Gasoline Corporation (USA), has <br /> prepared this letter-for USA Service Station No. 65, 2500 West Lodi Avenue, Lodi, California <br /> (Figure 1), in response to San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District's (SJVAPCD) letter <br /> dated January 31,'2003. This letter presents additional information requested by SJVAPCD <br /> towards the completion of an Authority to Construction (ATC) application to operate a soil vapor <br /> extraction(SVE) system at the site. . <br /> On January 23, 2003, Stratus prepared.and submitted an ATC application requesting to discharge <br /> the treated soil vapors to the atmosphere. The existing location.of the remediation system and <br /> additional site features are shown on Figure 2, <br /> The proposed 150 cubic feet per minute soil vapor extraction (SVE) system consists of a <br /> 5-horsepower (lip) Roots. positive displacement blower and two 1,000-pound US Filter's vent <br /> scrub carbon adsorption vessels:- Petroleum,.hydrocarbon laden soil vapors will be extracted <br /> using the 5 hp blower, and abated using granular activated carbon, prior to discharge to the <br /> atmosphere. The SVE system will be operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 52 weeks a <br /> year, beginning March 2003. <br /> The additional information requested by SJVAPCD in the.letter.dated January '31, 2003, are <br /> listed and addressed below in a questiordanswer format: ; <br /> f Resubmit the first page of the application with all of the information filled out including <br /> Gowri S.
