F20ctober 13, 1987 AGS 87050-2
r } USA Station No. 65, Lodi, California
differences in elevation between the instrument and the top of
the casing of each of the ground-water monitoring wells.
Measurements were recorded to the nearest 0.001-font. The depth
to the static water level in MW-1 through MW-3 was measured to
the nearest 0.01-foot with a Solinst electric water-level
A
indicator.
CD The survey data was used to lccz!te the ground-water wells more
precisely than taping methods allow. The data was also used in
conjunction with the depth-to-water measurements to estimate the
potentiometric surface of the ground water across the site.
Table 3 presents the tabulated measurements and resulting
calculations.
The calculations were used to construct a Ground-dater
,I Potentiometric Surface Map, Plate P-13, across the station .
property. The average calculated ground-water gradient is
0.2-foot per loo feet and the ground-water surface slopes
generally toward the southeastS400E
( ) . The gradient
calculations and the direction of ground-water slope reflect
conditions on August 26, 1987, the date of the measurements.
14
Akio/ieY
S, MS
