Information provided by personnel of USA indicates threr: 12,000-gallon
underground-storage tanks are used to store regular leaded, regular unleac ed, and super- .
unleaded gasoline. it is our understanding from USA personnel that.precision tests
f performed in 1987, 1983 and 1989 on the three underground tanks indicate the tanks tested
fight. USA purchased the property in 1987.
Hydrocarbon contamination was detected in
the soil samples collected from twosoil
borings.
and water samples collected from two ground-water wells (S-1 and S-2) during a py-evious
phase of investigation conducted at this site by the Pacific Environmental Group of Santa
z Clara, California (Prelimina Environmental Inve-Riiiiation, March 16, 1987). In August
1987, at the request of USA, Applied GeoSystems drilled three 8-inch-diameter borings
` (B1 throsigh R'3}, installed monitoring wells MtiV-1 through MW-3,and developed, purged E
and sampled the wells (Applied G.:Systems, Delineation of Hydrocarbon Contamination '
and Hydrogeologic Characterization at !JSA Station No.65, 2500 West Lodi Avenue, Lodi,
California. Report 87050-2, October 13, 1987).
