Reducing the flow rate to 50-66 ml per minute for the TO-17 sampling is not a problem.
2. 1 contacted McCampbell Analytical and they said that IPA is a perfect tracer for TO-17; I will forward
you the email.
3. Pre-hydrated bentonite is a product we had to use in the central coast for a job; my mistake, I forgot to
remove it from the procedures;for this job we will use the granulated bentonite that we hydrate in lifts
as we install it.
Thanks,
Brian W. One thing that I would like to
change is the flow rate from 100 mL per minute to 50-66 mL per minute when using sorbent tubes to sample for the
TO-17 analytes.
What do you mean by'pre-hydrated bentonite"will be placed above the dry bentonite from 8 feet bsg to near surface?
I question whether the leak detector, isopropyl alcohol, can be used for the TO-17 method. Will you please check with
the laboratory to confirm this?
Thanks, Brian.
Vicki McCartney,Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton,California 95205
Phone: (209)468-9852
8/8/2014
