MAIN STREET, UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK
We are in receipt of your June 11, 2004 letter regarding the discovery of an
underground storage tank at the above location. Please be aware that the City of
Stockton does not own or operate the underground storage tank in question nor
was the City responsible for its discovery. Therefore, we believe we bear no
responsibility for its abatement.
As I am sure you are aware, underground storage tanks located within the
sidewalk were typically installed to serve adjacent buildings/properties. We would
suggest that you contact the adjacent property owner regarding abatement, or
contact PG&E who was the party responsible for its discovery.
If you have any questions please call me at 937-8339
JAMES B.
