Tank parameters at time of inspection (empty, etc.): Tank level at 32%
capacity
Acute visual evidence of leaks: No evidence of leaks
Condition of interior surface: Good condition
Condition of exterior surface: Good Condition
Condition of nozzles, flanges, fittings at tank: Good Condition
Condition of piping: Good Condition
Visual Inspection findings: A visual inspection of the tank and its affiliated
pumps, piping and ancillary equipment did not reveal signs of leaks, corrosion,
weld cracks or breaks, or scrapes in protective coating which may cause a
release from the tank system. A description of all discrepancies noted during the
visual inspection is included with this report. Initials: k'}
Seismic/Anchoring:
Seismic/dynamic/hydrostatic load calculations provided as Appendix "D"
Seismic/Anchoring findings: The tank as designed and operated, and the
containment area in which it is located are adequately anchored and are
seismically sound. Initials: vt,
Leak Test:
Interior and secondary tanks were pressure tested at 5 psig for 2 hours at
time of manufacture per UL 142. The tank complied with the requirements
of UL 142 at time of shipping.
A tightness test of the entire system was performed on the date of this
inspection. All vent and inspection fittings were replaced with threaded
plugs. Air pressure of 1.0 psig was applied by means of using the
diaphragm fill pump connected to an empty coolant drain caddy. The
system held the initial pressure for 30 minutes without dropping.
Integrity testing findings: Based on the above noted integrity test and the
results obtained from that test, the tank has sufficient integrity for its intended
use.
