(AGE)has prepared this work
plan to perform a"batch"removal of ground water fro on-site Well MW-1.'
SCOPE OF WORK
Concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons q'uantifi ed as diesel(TPH-d)in ground water•in the
vicinity of well MW-1 have remained high or iricreas d. In order to evaluate the stability of the
dissolved TPH-d in the ground water;capillary zone and smear zone, AGE recommends a limited
batch removal of,ground water: Initially, we recommend a single batch removal event; however,
samples.collected prior-to.and upon completion of the batch removal will be used to evaluate the
necessity for additional extraction events.
PROCEDURES
AGE proposes to perform a batch removal from-well M =I'to evaluate the stability of the dissolved
TPH-d in the ground water, capillary zone.and smear -one.around the well. A three-horsepower
electric air compressor and a submersible, fluid pneumatic extraction pump will continuously extract .
ground water from the well screen interval of MW_I. Ground water will be purged at a rate of
approximately one and one-'half gallons per minute froi TY well MW-I for the duration necessary to
remove 4,000 to 6,000 gallons of water. This will take approximately three to four days. Ground
water will be stored on-site; in a large, poly tank provided by Baker Tanks. At the conclusion of the
ground water batch, removal event, the extracted grou nd water from MW-1 will be transported. .
off--site and properly_disposed of at an EPA-approved_ aste water facility.
837 Shaw Road, Stockton,Clifornia 95215
'Telephone(209)467-1006 •Fa.
