The work <br /> plan is prepared at the request of Mr. Dan Folcher of Vinela id Construction Co. The location of the <br /> site is illustrated in Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustratei i on Figure 2. <br /> This work plan is prepared as required by the San Jo a uin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)by letter dated 2 1 June 1999 and is in accordance with <br /> PHS-EHD and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(RWQCB)guidelines for the <br /> investigation of underground storage tanks(UST)'sites. <br /> The purpose of the proposed assessment is to evaluate the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon impact to soil at the site. This work plan proN ides a description of the scope of work <br /> and procedures to be used for soil probe boring advancerneni and soil sample collection and analysis. <br /> Z.O. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in a topographically flat area of Stockto a,California(Figure 1),approximately <br /> 1,400 feet west of the intersection of Loomis Road and Cali omia Highway 99 Frontage Road. The <br /> site is further described as being located in the northeast quarter of Section 47,Township I North, <br /> Range 7 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian (Stockton East Quadrangle, 7.5-Minute USGS <br /> Topographic Series, 1968,photo revised 1987). <br /> 2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is presently utilized as a truck depot for freight trattsportation.The site consists of a large <br /> building structure utilized for office space and a storage'yard.Two 12,000-gallon diesel USTs and <br /> one 1,000-gallon waste oil UST were formerly located on 1he property. <br /> 2.2. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVA <br /> Two 12,000-gallon diesel USTs(Tank No. I and Tank No. ),two fuel dispensers and all associated <br /> product piping were removed from the site on 29 September 1998. Laboratory analysis of soil <br /> samples collected beneath the diesel USTs/dispenser island area and product piping detected total, <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as diesel (TPH-d) at concentrations as high as 5,100 mg/kg <br /> AdOmeed Gt9tavirommal,Inc. <br />
