In the Worlk plan., AGE proposes to destroy all six Wells by pressure grouting the well Casing using 110 to 15 paunds per square inch (psi) of pressure. No throe limit was given for appiying the pressure. iFolllowing this, AGE proposes to over-drill the well to approxilrmtely three fleet Mow surface grade (bsg) using 8.25--inch diameter hollow steno gaugers. The END has reviewed :historical soil and ground ,iter analytical results for this site and approves only manitoring wells MSV-2 through MW-5 be pressure gratuted_ The EHD directs that 25 psi of Iliq uid grout pressure be:applied for ten .minutes, follow,ed by over-drilling the well to appro?e4mately three feet bsg easing hollow sterna gees to create a hole at least a foot larger in diameter than the originally drilled thole. Since the wells were all installed using eight-inch augers, the augers used to over-drill the tells to approximately three feet bsg twist be at least twenty inches in diameter. Since monitoring wells MW-1 and M"-6 reside in an area of known residual contamination and since mmedliation of the wail has not taken place at this site, the EflD directs that 71V-1 and MW-6 be over.-drilled to total depth and the well contents, induding, the well casing, screen, filter pack and grout seailant, be removed,- the cleared boretnoile is then, to to sealed with meat cement by pressuregrouting known the bott rai upward to a depth of three to five feet bsg using a trernie pipe. With these conditions, the EHD approves the 'work plan to destroy the wells at this site_ The EHD will modify the permit applications submitted by AGE to reflect these changes prior to issuing the permits. The END has been notified that the well destruction fieldwork is scheduled for 26— 27 March 2012.
