I09 January 2006
. AGE-NC Project No 98-0497
' Ground water flow direction was calculated from the ground water elevation data The ground water
was inferred to be flowing toward the northeast at an approximate hydraulic gradient of 0 005 ft/ft
Figure 3 illustrates the contoured ground water elevations as measured on 30 June 2005
3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' The analytical results from the June 2005 ground water monitoring event are as follows
' • TPH-g was detected in well MW-1 at a concentration of 4,000 micrograms per liter(µg/1)
The laboratory report noted that the detected concentration was mostly in the diesel range
• TPH-d was detected in well MW-1 at a concentration of 440,000 µgll
• BTEX compounds were not detected in the five ground water samples analyzed
' • MTBE,DIPE, TAME, ETBE and TBA were not detected in the five ground water samples w
analyzed
' Laboratory results of the submitted water samples are summarized in Table 2 The inferred areal
extent of hydrocarbon-impacted ground water is illustrated on Figure 4 Copies of the laboratory
report(CTEL Project No CT214-0507004),quality assurance/quality control(QA/QC)reports,and
chain of custody form are provided in Appendix B GeoTracker confirmation pages of the submitted
laboratory electronic deliverable format (EDF) files are included in Appendix C
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
The findings of the June 2005 ground water monitoring event include the following
• Ground water elevations at the site averaged approximately 40 42 feet below MSL,
indicating an average increase of 0 16 feet since the last monitoring event in March 2005
' • The ground water was inferred to be flowing toward the northeast at an approximate -
hydraulic gradient of 0 005 ft/ft
• TPH-g and TPH-d were detected in well MW-1 at concentrations of 4,000 µg/l and
' 440,000 µg/l, respectively,however, the reported TPH-g concentrations were mostly in the
TPH-d range
' • Comparing the ground water sample results from this quarter and the previous quarter,
TPH-d concentrations have increased in well MW-1 (from 84,000 pg/l to 440,000 ug/l)and
remained non detect in samples from wells MW-2 through MW-5 4
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
