' 23 March 2005
• AGE-NC Project No 98-0497
' 3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
The analytical results from the November 2004 ground water monitoring event are as follows
' • TPH-g was detected in well MW-1 at a concentration of 2,200 micrograms per liter(µg/l)
The laboratory report noted that the detected concentration was mostly in the diesel range
' • TPH-d was detected in wells MW-1 and MW-4 at concentrations of 450,000 µg/1 and
17,000 µg/l, respectively
' • BTEX compounds and MTBE were not detected in the five groundwater samples analyzed
' Laboratory results of the water samples analyzed are summarized in Table 2 Copies of the
laboratory report(CTEL Project No CT214-0411097), quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC)
report, and chain of custody form are provided in Appendix B Documents confirming the upload
' of laboratory electronic deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water measurements to
GeoTracker are provided in Appendix C
• 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
t The findings of the November 2004 ground water monitoring event include the following
Vol 2 jai
• Ground water elevations at the site averaged approximately 43 P4 feet elow MSL,
' indicating an average increase of 102 feet since the last monitoring event in September 2004
• Ground water was inferred to be flowing radially outward from a southeast-trending ground j u
water peak in the vicinity of well MW-1,under significant hydraulic gradients ranging from
approximately 0 05 ft/ft to 0 12 R/ft
• TPH-g and TPH-d were detected in well MW-1 at concentrations of 2,200µg/1 and
450,000 µg/1, respectively, however, the reported TPH-g concentrations were mostly in the
TPH-d range In addition, TPH-d was detected for the first time in well MW-4, at a
' concentration of 17,000 µg/1 TPH-d concentrations increased significantly in the fourth
quarter
• The hydrocarbon-impacted ground water plume appears to be limited to the former UST area
immediately surrounding well MW-1 The inferred areal extent of hydrocarbon-impacted
ground water is illustrated on Figures 4 and 5
1
•
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
