Gettysburg
Fresno, California 93726
Re: Soil Vapor Extraction Pilot Test Notification
Shell-Branded Service Station
341 E. Main St.
Ripon California
Dear Mr. Roeder:
On behalf of Equiva Services.LLC (Equiva), Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc_ (Cambria),
is providing notification to.conduct a one day Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) pilot test at the referenced
above site(Figure 1). SVE pilot testing is recommended to determine the required vacuum and flow
to produce the necessary.radius of.influence from each well. The pilot test will also yield data
necessary for sizing the remediation equipment.
i
The pilot test is scheduled for April 11, 2001. The protocol calls for conducting individual 2-hour
SVE tests on four wells. Cambria will use a 250 SCFM Internal combustion engine(ICE) to conduct
the test. Influent and effluent vapor concentrations will be periodically measured with a Photo-
Ionization Detector during the test to monitor the catalyst performance. A summary of the pilot test
data will be provided to the San Joaquin Valley APCD.
Please contact me at (510) 450-1987, if you need clarification or require any additional information.
Sincerely,
Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc. j
Oakland, CA y /
San Ramon, CA E r
Sonoma, CA
l R smussen
Portland, OR ?aLI
Project Scientist
Cambria
Environmental J
Technology,Inc_
CC: Karen Petryna_ Equiva Services LLC Dale Ramey,City of Ripon
Mar-ares La-urio,San Joaquin Co.
