This corrective action plan(CAP)was prepared in response to the San
Joaquin County Public Health Department/Environmental Health Division(SJCPHD) k
letter dated April 18,1996 and the subsequent SJCPHD workplan review letter dated
August 14, 1996. Field and laboratory
procedures are presented as Attachment A.
3
SITE BACKGROUND
The site is located at the northeast corner of East Main Street and F Street in Stockton,
California,
situated in the northeastern.P ortion of the San Joaquin Valley(Figure 1, Site
' Location Map). The site is currently vacant and is owned by the Hmaman
Trust.
Formerly a Chevron Service Station(9-6258) operated at the site. The former facilities
at the site included four underground storage tanks (USTs), associated underground
piping and pump island, and a station building (Figure 2). Four USTs were reportedly
installed in 1955 and the gasoline USTs removed in 1976. Based on recent field
investigations, the waste oil tank and sump are still located on the site.
The former USTs consisted of three gasoline fuel (5,000-gallon supreme, 2,000-gallon
mid-grade, and 5,000-gallon regular) tanks of single wall steel construction located on
i
j
I
11 315 Sunrise Gold Circle, Suite M, Rancho Cordova,California 95742 '(916) 858-2350 FAX(916)858-2355
I
