California Occupational Health and Safety.Administration(Cal-OSHA)"Hazardous <br /> Waste Operations and Emergency Response"guidelines (CCR Title 8, Section 5192), <br /> PACIFIC has prepared a Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan prior to performing field <br /> work. The Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan will be reviewed by the field staff and_ <br /> contractors prior to beginning field operations at the site. The Site-Specific Health and <br /> Safety Plan is included as Attachment-C. <br /> Management of Excavated Soil and Over-Excavation <br /> If hydrocarbon impacted soil is encountered during excavation, a limited•over- . <br /> excavation may be performed. Upon excavation;the soil will be stockpiled and-covered -- <br /> with plastic at the site for sampling aihd later disposal or use as backfill. The extent of <br /> over-excavation will be determined based on field measurements collected in the,field <br /> during the excavation,activities. Stockpiled sail that contains petroleum hydrocarbons' <br /> -will either be aerated onsite or will be removed from the site'for disposal at'a suitable <br /> landfill. . <br /> Reporting <br /> After completion of the field work and laboratory analyses, the data will be evaluated <br /> and assembled into a report. Included in the report will be soil analytical results, chain- <br /> of-custody documentation, and a summary of field observations. This report will be <br /> submitted to the SJCPHD within eight to twelve weeks of receiving analytical sample <br /> results from the laboratory. <br /> SCHEDULE . . <br /> PACIFIC is prepared to initiate field work within 2 weeks following approval of this <br /> corrective action plan by the San Joaquin County Department of Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Division and the securing of all necessary permits. A report <br /> documenting the findings of the investigation is anticipated to be submitted <br /> approximately 8-12 weeks after the commencement of field work. <br /> 9200391A/WPI-AN <br />
