DENIS L BROWN LIAR 2 9 20M SHELL OIL PRODUCTS 20945 S WILMINGTON CARSON CA 90810-1039 RE: SHELL Sites in San Joaquin County ' A meeting was held on March 22,2006,at the office of San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD). Attending the meeting were you representing Shell Oil,Joe Neely and Aubrey Cool representing Cambria Environmental Technology,Inc.,Margaret Lagorio,Nuel C.Henderson, Jeff Wong,Harlin Knoll,Michael Infurna,Lori Duncan,and Vicki McCartney representing EHD and James Barton representing the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB). There was a general discussion about evaluation for vapor intrusion into existing or future buildings at sites as part of the site investigation. It was also discussed that Shell would be changing laboratories for sample analysis and reporting. The following is a synopsis of the status and/or site specific discussions at the meeting. 3011 Benjamin Holt,Stockton EHD has received and will review the"Request for No Further Action"report. If the report is complete, quarterly monitoring for Second Quarter 2006 will not have to be performed. 1313 Charter Way,Stockton Shell is in the process of obtaining a permit from the City of Stockton to install a temporary groundwater extraction system. The plan is to extract groundwater from MW1 which has the highest concentrations of 1,2 DCA and possibly also from MW6. The extent of the 1,2 DCA still has to be defined south of the site. 620 Charter Way,Stockton Preliminary data from the advancement of CPT borings was presented and discussed. The report of the CPT work will be submitted to EHD with recommendations for additional monitoring wells. Cross sections will be submitted in the work plan for the additional monitoring wells. 440 Charter Way,Stockton The damaged deep screened well ha''s been repaired. Once data is gathered from this well, the site will be reviewed for further assessment/remediation. 1267 Country Club,Stockton A report on the monitoring wells installed in December 2005 that includes a Site Conceptual Model (SCM)and conclusions on site delineation and remedial action is to be submitted to EHD. 2575 Country Club,Stockton The ground water extraction (GWE) system has not operated since October 2005. Groundwater extraction by a vacuum truck will be performed twice a month until the GWE system is restarted.
