INTRODUCTION
1.1. Purpose & Goal
The purpose of this Work Plan is to describe the tasks and procedures proposed to conduct
conformational groundwater grab samples, sampling of selected monitoring wells and water
supply wells per the San Joaquin County Public Health Services/Environmental Health
Division (SJC PHS/EHD)directive dated January 11, 2011.
The goal of this investigation is to develop the technical argument to demonstrate a low-risk
status for the Site.
1.2. Site History
ua
nderground storage ta*containing diesel fuel was formerly located on the property —
see Figures 1 & 2. A previous consultant, Wm. J. Hunter& Associates (WJH), installed four
groundwater monitoring wells. in an effort to determine if diesel fuel had impacted
groundwater. In 1992, diesel contamination was detected in groundwater at the Site. The
SJC PHS/EHD subsequently directed that an investigation of the diesel release be initiated.
Work performed to date is summarized below*:
March 1987—Two 5,000 gallon diesel USTs removed.
l f
' I
