Lot 24, Clarkadota Fig Plantation No 3, T 1N , R 7E , M D B & M , San Joaquin <br /> County, CA The Assessor's parcel No is 179-11-24 Refer to PLATE III for it's <br /> location in respect to other properties in the area <br /> REGIONAL GEOGRAPHIC SETTING: <br /> The site is situated in the southern part of the city of Stockton, a short distance west of <br /> Highway 99, and approximately 1200 feet south of Mariposa Road The area is zoned for <br /> manufacturing and industrial use, the nearest residences are about 700 feet to the <br /> southwest Refer to PLATES I& III for more information <br /> i <br /> GEOLOGIC & GEOMORPHIC PROVINCE: <br /> The property is situated in the southern part of the Sacramento Valley, which is the <br /> northern subprovince of what is referred to as the Great Valley of California The valley <br /> consists of to excess of 20,000 feet of sediments of Cretaceous and younger age generated <br /> by uplift and erosion of the Sierra Nevada Batholith to the east The topography is very <br /> flat, with surface drainage to the west at about 5'/rule Duck Creek is a short distance to <br /> the south, and Mormon Slough is about one mile to the north PLATE 11, a portion of a <br /> USGS topographic sheet, gives pertinent details of the area <br /> DEPTH TO GROUNDWATER: <br /> According to maps published by the San Joaquin County Flood Control District, <br /> groundwater was as high as 47'bgl in the Spring of 1986 Monitoring activities since <br /> April, 1992 have recorded an average water table depth of about 72' bgl In November, <br /> 1996, static water level averaged 67 72' bgl It was measured at an average depth of <br /> 67 03'bgl on September 5, 1997 <br /> PRIOR USE OF UST'S: <br /> Two, 5,000 gallon UST's which had been used for storing diesel fuel were removed from <br /> the property in March, 1957 There are no records concerning amounts of fuel used <br /> during the time the tanks were in service <br /> SUMMARY OF PRIOR EVENTS: <br /> March, 1987 - Two 5,000 gallon diesel UST's removed from site Some contamination <br /> measured to soil samples taken after tank removal <br /> March, 1988 - Site of removed UST's reentered Soil samples taken at 28' & 29' below <br /> grade Xylene & TVPH measured in both samples Excavation filled with clean soil <br /> 2 <br />
