The containers of oil found last week
have been removed and placed in the oil recovery drum at the shop of Carnegie SVRA.
The shop does have an EPA Number assigned to it and we have already called to have
the storage drum pumped by an oil recovery service. The Bill of Laden receipts will be
kept on file at the o I recovery drum location.
I will speak vMh Mr. and Mrs Horne, or their designee, immediately to inform
them of the inspect on, the violations and the method of compliance.
I want to assure you that we in no way encourage park visitors to bring used
motor oil on-site for disposal. It does happen though, and we will assume the
responsible role to nsure it is properly stored and transferred at least every 90 days by
an oil recovery se ice. I have instructed staff that encounter oil containers in the park
to promptly remove them and place the oil in the unit oil recovery drum.
I appreciate you working with us. Please don't hesitate to call if you have any
questions or concerns (925-447-0426).
Sincerely,
Dan Dungy strict Superintendent
Twin Citie istrict
cc,. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Horne
