Attention: Steven hih
Dear Sir,
This letter is in response to your recent inspection of our Park Facility, at
Carnegie SVRA, 1 cated in Tracy, CA. On your Inspection, you noted the following
violations, #19,20 30, and 88.
On Items #19,20, 1 have discussed this with my Park Superintendent, and our
Concessionaire ( kip's Carnegie), and the 55 gallon container of waste oil will be
properly disposed of by Friday, July 11,2003, by the owner of Skip's Carnegie.
On item #30, as I advised you, I have just recently assumed this position, and my
predecessor did not leave any records, that I have been able to locate at this time.
I have checkedWith my staff, and have been advised that they have never been given
any documents/receipts when turning in any Hazardous Waste materials. I have talked
to the businesses where we have been disposing these waste products, and they also
advised me, theydo not provide receipts- We have used Kragen Automotive located in
Tracy, on Tracy Blvd and 11th street, and have delivered to them, 6gallons of used oil on
16 June 2003, and 3 %z gallons of oil on 9 May 2003, which they have in their log books.
On April 25, 2003 we delivered to Tracy Municipal Airport, for a Waste Drop-off Event,
through the city of Tracy, 8 ea Lead Acid Batteries, 1 ea 5 Gallon Bucket of Paint, 12 ea
1 Gallon cans of paint, and 5 Gallons of unmarked liquid in metal containers, believed to
be thinner and cl ning solvent-
[ have advised my staff, that all future disposals are to be documented, with the type of
material, quantity, location of disposal, and name of individual disposing of it, and given
to me to be placed in a file in my office. I hope this meets with your approval, and any
input you may have would be most welcomed.
The Hazardous Waste Emergency Information Form has been updated and is in place
throughout the pa k, as required. We have determined that at this time Skip's Carnegie
is covered under our permit, until time for renewal of his contract. We are currently
under discussion with the Concessionaire still, on the installation of a recycling unit as
you and I had discussed.
Thank you for all of your inputs, and information of the recycling of the hazardous
waste that is beino dropped off in our park.
