The.wells <br /> were destroyed as part of the final site closure-requirements of the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD).. A full summary -destruction'of the well destrion activities is <br /> presented in SECOR's October 21, 1998,Summary of Well Destruction and Request For No Further <br /> Action Letter. <br /> Since no petroleum hydrocarbon odors were observed in the drill..cuttings and decon water placed <br /> in the drums and the water and soil did riot contain reportable concentrations of the chemicals of <br /> concern, SECOR requested permission from the SJCEHD to spread the soil out in the grassy area <br /> on the south side of the eastern storm run off pond and dump out the decon water in the same area. <br /> During a.phone conversation ori October 27, .1998, Ms. Margaret Lagorio with SJCEHD gave <br /> SECOR approval to spread the soil and water at the site. <br /> On November 2, 1989, SECOR's field.scientist spread the soil contained in four 55-gallon drums <br /> out in the grassy area on the south side of the eastern storm run off pond and dumped out the one 55- <br /> gallon drum of decon water in the same area.
