WH
FInc. _"vironmental and Engineering Group
n
Post Office-Box 427
Oakdale, CA 95361
Office: (209) 848-4280
Fax: (209) 848-4282
3
May 14, 1997
Steve Sasson
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental health Division
PO Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
d
Subject: Fuller Mobile Home Park,.Lathrop
Receptor Survey, Febr&ary, 1997
Dear Steve, _
In response to your inquiries, WHF would like'to clarify the following items:
1. Yes, there is an existing small well'within the Fuller Mobile Horne Park which is
operational at this time. This well's location is shown on the site map attached and on
Figure 3 of said Receptor Survey dated February, 1997. This well is relatively small
diameter, 1=112' diameter discharge from a submersible pump. It is used exclusively for
agricultural purposes for the Park. The State Department of Water Resources (DWR)has
no record of the well construction details-
The well is not attached to any domestic system within the Park. The water quality of the
well is monitored for coliform on a quarterly basis and.is reported to the Department of
Health Services.
Bascd on the present "se of this well a ld the location being upgradient/crossgradient from
the contaminated area, WHF has.concluded that there is no public risk from this well site.
's
2. The domestic wells located within a 2,000 foot radius of the Park site are shown on
Figure 3 of the Receptor Survey. Each of the properties where these wells are located are
now "For Sale" as commercial property. Not all of the properties are occupied. AHF
called all of the real estate companies listed on the "For Sale" signs. Responses for.two of
the parcels were received. These responses indicated that the properties would abandon
the existing wells and connect'to the City of Lathrop system when the property is
developed-
f
i
i
