Four soil samples at various depths and one grab water
samples were collected. Analytical results of the soil samples were 168 milligrams/kilogram
(mg/kg) of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as diesel ('TPH d) at 8 feet below surface grade
(bsg), and non-detect at 18 feet bsg. Analytical results of the grab water sample were 389 _
micrograms/liter(gg/1).
The extent and mass of the contamination in the groundwater has not been defined. A
known domestic drinking water well is located to the south of the former underground
storage tank. Submit a work plan that will define the extent of the contamination to San
Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) by
April 20,2001.
A 2000 feet survey for municipal, domestic, agriculture, industry and other wells is required
before a site can be considered for closure. The survey must include a local map showing
locations of the wells with appropriate labels and any known construction details of the
wells. The well survey does not have to be a separate document and can be included in an
investigation report or quarterly monitoring report.
A copy of the Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund (Fund) application has been
included.
