Ground I
water monitoring and sampling was conducted by Blaine Tech Services, Inc., (Blaine Tech) of
San Jose, California, on October 5, 1995. Ground water monitoring is performed each quarter
. l
at this site, while ground water samples are being collected on a semi-annual basis (twice each
year). ; 3
I
Third quarter sampling was originally performed on August 31, 1995. Due to problems i
reported by the laboratory (N.E.T. Pacific) the collected samples were not analyzed during the I'
proper holding time. Monitoring and sampling was performed again by Blaine Tech in October !j
1995.
Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline has not been indicated in any samples collected
from wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 since installation in August 1989. Benzene concentrations
have been below the practical quantitation reporting limits since the May 1.990 sampling event. : II
Based on the results shown in Table 2, Fugro will reduce monitoring and sampling frequency I
from a semi-annual basis to annually (once each year). The annual collection of ground water
samples will occur during the third quarter of each year. Fugro will implement these reductions
effective first quarter 1996. '! '
r; I
Planned activities for the fourth quarter 1995 include monitoring ground water elevations
in all wells at the site during December 1995. The next ground water monitoring report will be
submitted to the SJCPHS/EHD no later than January 15, 1996. I
n
9347-1231-3gmrcovrAr
I
A member of the Fugro group of companies with offices throughout the world i I?
