'The monitoring wells are currently
monitored to determine groundwater gradient on a quarterly basis. The downgradieni well,M`1V2,is sampled
quarterly and MW1 and MW3 are sampled semi-annually.
Significant soil contamination which remains poses.a threat to groundwater.
The monitoring of all wells should continue on a quarterly basis. The sampling frequency of all wells may be
reduced to semi-annually. Quarterly reporting, which is recognized as a.minimum:reporting requirement,
should continue. The next quarterly report should be submitted by July 15, 1993. The next groundwater
sampling event should be scheduled by,August 19, 1993.
4. Please insure that PHS/EHD is notified prior to sampling events. PHS/EHD inspection of sampling events
is an important aspect of local-regulatory oversight.
If you have any comments; questions or to schedule a site'inspection, please contact Mary Ways, Senior
REHS, of my staff at.(209) 468-0337:
Jogi Khanna, 1v ,D,M.P,H:
Health Officet
r .
Laurie A.
